This cable is designed to make removing your quick release mount even easier.

This cable is not required for the quick release mount. You can simply un-click your kickstand from the mount when you want to move the dish to another mounted location if you do not have this cable. However, this cable will save you time and energy if you plan to move your mini dish from one vehicle to another frequently. 

This cable does not have a weatherproof ends.
